Seems like it's a California thing?
damn californians
means that it can be ridden year round. 2 stroke or 4 stroke?
4 stroke. Yeah we don't have that sticker thing in GA
just about every 4 stroke is green sticker here
so theres some bikes you cant ride all year? wtf?
a red sticker means that only certain times they are allowed to be ridden at public parks or rec areas. private property there are no regulations...... unless your neighbors are assholes
wow thats pretty silly, whats the reasoning?
it has to do with emissions. stupid ca laws. because im certain that there are more ohv's than there are beater vehicles on the road..........
I remember when they did that whole thing in CA. They went after two strokes because they were "bad for the environment" even though there wasn't any actual research to back it up. the tree huggers just hated the blue smoke that two strokes kicked out. Much the same way they hate diesels for the black smoke they put out, even though they are actually cleaner than gas engines.
cant win with greenies around.
Nope, they're pretty much the fun police. If it's fun it has to be bad for the environment.
but yet old vehicles dont have to pass smog. go figure. they got more crap burning and leaking than an ohv would ever have. whens the last time you saw a guy fixing up his old beater car? he is putting oil in it because he has to. "oh, my car leaks (or burns) oil, no big deal" what the hell? but with an ohv, you are always making sure that thing is in perfect running order, no matter how old it is. idiot tree hugging dirt worshippers
Yep, you see tons of old cars belching blue smoke from worn out rings, or straight piped or whatever else, and yet, they go after the ohv crowd who is already dealing with noise regulations on top of everything else.
ride your atv to work day........ that would piss of a few people
