Alright, here is a thread if you just wanna show off your latest pictures or show what all you own. Post up any pictures you have of your stuff, it's always cool to see what's everybody's style. Especially since we have such a mix of vehicles here.
|
good thread idea.
ill have to get all my toys out side by side and snap some pics. |
Same here, got em spread out at different places though. So I may have to just post em here and there.
|

Normally I would say no dildo's, but Busa's are powered by a 5 hp Briggs & Stratton. So I may rule those as an OHV.
|
well, you know...... i like everything high tech. manual mode doesnt feel like it used to.
i got a truck, 3 quads and bike. rolled the truck and dropped the bike in a one week span. now im down to a wrecked truck, 3 quads and a downed bike........ im so glad i got nice things...... |
How's the truck?

Nother Raptor?
|
His other truck was a Raptor huh? I'd like to hear how he rolled it
|
I'll let him chime in for that story, there's a pretty good thread about it over on FRF, maybe he'll copy it over or give you a summary.
|
Well, finally managed to finish the shed I was building for my sled and quad. With all the overtime I've been working it took me a little longer than I wanted. But she's done, shingled, etc.
So I finally have my toys at home. No more driving to my brothers place when I wanna ride. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/16/unubyved.jpg |
Nice! It'll be good to be able to just go outside and ride. I bet you'll find yourself riding even more, since you don't have to go anywhere to get your machines
|
I sure will. Especially in winter. Few storms last year would have been awesome sledding. But I also would have had to shovel my driveway, as well as m brothers. (3+ feet of drifted packed snow, not fun to shovel)
So this will be so much nicer. Same goes for the quad. Get home, throw on my helmet and go. No more 5 minute drive to my brothers, find out I forgot his keys, back home, and back out haha. Done that a few times. I built the shed out of pallets from work, and leftover 2x8's from our house. So really the only cost was treated plywood for the floor, and shingles. Think we spent under $200 total. Not bad. |
That works

Wow, nice! I want to pick up a 600 bike to learn on.
|
i want a bike to save money on gas haha
shined the sled up today. was insanely dusty. used some mother spray wax on it. made it slippery as shit and shiny. should help keep the snow from sticking to. look at that shineeeee http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f5...ps2b9c56a7.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f5...ps87945484.jpg |

If you get a 600cc supersport such as an R6, CBR, or GSX-R, you will have to be VERY careful. Even just being a 600 they are extremely fast. A good friend who has been riding for years just wrecked his CBR after forgetting just how quick they are. He grabbed too much throttle without thinking and wheelied right over backwards. I started on a 500. Great to learn on, but it did get old fast. With that said, it is definitely possible to learn on a 600 supersport. They are perfectly manageable and you won't get sick of them either. But they will bite your head off in a heartbeat if you at any point don't give them the respect they deserve. |
Yeah, my other thought was getting the new Ninja 300, but I don't really want to learn on it, then sell it because I know I will get tired of a 300 very quickly.
|
just do what i did and jump on a busa and go for it.......
maxx can suck my asian sausage. just wait until i get back out there to texas. i will bring you a durian fruit |
LOL
i see maxx is enjoying his powers. Id love a ninja 300. i dont think id get bored of it. |

Yeah I love the new 300's. Been heavily considering one for a while now.
Speed limits here are 60 mph. So no need to go faster. And I don't need flip over backwards speed haha. It would simply be to save gas. Just can't decide if I want the risk involved. We got shit highways and crap drivers in the city. |
I'm toying with the same thing. They sure can save a ton of gas though. I did the math, and if I didn't touch my truck for a year, the bike would be paid for in gas saving. I obviously wouldn't do that, but it shows how much you can save with them. And that' figured at MSRP, not even discounts or anything.
|
i did the same. would only take a year for it to pay for itself for me as well. and thats with still driving the truck half the time lmao.
i spend 8-9 grand on gas a year. |
Yeah man, I got over 80 miles a day in my truck, plus my shitty mpg. At least I don't have your prices or I'd be screwed. It's about 3:10 a gallon in DFW right now.
|
Yeah, it's crazy up here. Going down slowly for winter though.
Whic doesn't matter haha. Use more gas in winter so it evens out. My parents were in Fargo last weekend. 3.49 a gallon there. That equates to .95 cents a litre up here. Our prices.... 1.22 a litre lol. Ah well. |

its not so much the other drivers, as it is the highways. theyre so bad. im talking, the truck jumps sideways on some of the bumps bad. and its the same on corners, straights, etc. i cant imagine it would be at all enjoyable on a bike taking corners on bumps like that. |
just dont lean too far. cmon now, bay area roads are not the greatest either. and gas is $4.05 here. metrically speaking, what the math? and get the damn bike already. both of you. maxx, the msf course will save you on insurance too.
|
here is another thing i found out when shopping for a bike. in the sportbike side, the bigger the motor the better the gas mileage...... i found that odd when i was comparing bikes. the 600 would get around 32mpg. the 750 showed about 37mpg. the 1000 showd about 42mpg. and the busa showed 50mpg. so i went with the busa. but since the smaller motors rev so high, 17,000rpm redline on some of them, i think is why they lose mileage.
|
gas just went down 6 cent a litre. WOO
hahaha its now 4.26 a gallon for 87 noah, 4.05 for me would be 1.10 a litre. except, ours always goes down for winter, since we end up using more. idling, warming it up, colder air = denser = more fuel. etc. evens out. i end up paying about the same amount summer/winter. |
