Hey from AK

Hey guys, names Ty. Heard about the site over on FordFullSize and thought I would check it out. I live for everything offroad. Here's some pics of my toys.

2004 Polaris 600 RMK. Just built a brand new motor for it after blowing the old one to bits.

Welcome...how did you blow your sled's motor?

Good question, nobody can figure it out. I was riding down a trail and it just decided to break a rod for seemingly no reason. The end of the broken rod cut through the entire clutch side of the motor.

welcome to the forum! strange on the motor! how many lmiles did it have on it? Polaris's 600's are some of the toughest 600's there are!
nice toys you have as well, you're crazy riding that thing on a lake with ice still!

Welcome aboard! Sorry to hear about the motor but at least it is a good excuse to add some upgrades while you are in there.

It had 3100ish miles. Way too low for a rod to be breaking, thats for sure

I ended up just rebuilding it with OEM parts, aside from the pistons. I was tight on cash as it was and was trying to keep it under 3 grand, which, by the way, didnt happen....haha
