Default Rod blew...need cases and help
Alright..need ur help...my brother's raptor blew its hot rod rod and cracked the cases. I think I found a good set on ebay so thats covered. Here's my dilema though...

Im building up my 660 and want to get a hot rod crank/rod setup to go along with a wiseco 11:1 (+1) 101mm piston and my hot cams stage 2. So I offered my brother my stock stuff, rod, crank, piston, cam even the head if he needs it since Ive got a spare. I just wanna find the best prices on the hot rod setup, wiseco piston, HC S2 and a gasket kit. So far Ebay has these prices...

Crank/rod- 224 shipped
HC S2- 124 shipped
Wiseco 11:1- 135 shipped
Complete Cometic gaskets- 68 shipped

Puts me at $551 OTD

Where do you guys get your parts for cheap? I had my head ported by Trinity Racing and will be calling Sal there to see if he can hook me up but I thought Id ask here.

Ebay typically has the best prices I have found. 550 doesn't sound bad at all, IMO.

You should go with a CP 12.5 piston with that setup, you can still run pump gas and I think you will see a noticeable low end gain with the added compression.

he's rebuilding it afterall...I wont be able to do the work since his mechanic is giving him the parts but asking for the labor...seems fair imo....so bro got a new sleeve, wiseco 100mm 11:1, hot rods crank, hot cams stage 1.

Im planning on going with wiseco 101mm 11:1, hot rods crank/rod, HC S2 with my Trinity Racing ported head.

BTW, my Scotts filter cam in today

well, cam and 11:1 piston are on their way. Didnt go with a 12:1 because I have to run mexican gas some times and the bike doesnt like it with a 9:1..cant imagine what it will do to a 12:1.

Piston $145 shipped
Cam: $130 shipped

The cam at 124 was a local dude that charges taxes FTS! and couldnt find the seller with the $135 piston Will probably need a timing chain but I dont wanna pull the flywheel off...its a pain and comes off VERY violently.

What gaskets do you guys recommend? Ive used Cometic but IDK if thats the best out there.

sent my X-6 to Embee Performance for a matte silver ceramic coat and just dropped off my cylinder/piston at Trinity to get bored/honed. Also installed LSR+1 last night so as soon as I get my stuff in, Im putting it together and getting it ready for a dyno pull on Trinity's dyno in august.

sooo, its been a lil over 3 weeks. bike is back together now, my clutch side carb overflows and its running fat. gotta jet down both carbs some and adjust the float level. after this, I should be set to break in the engine and get ready for the dyno pull in 2 weeks
