Default Ranger XP 900 engine blowing heat into main cab
A month ago, I noticed a lot of heat coming from the rear engine area (blowing on our backs in the main cab). I lifted the bed and saw a bunch of leaves and pine needles sticking out of the air intake. I started to remove it and realized there was A LOT of it. So I figured a mouse stuffed it all in there to make a nice little home. After getting it all removed, I got back in the cab and drove around and noticed that it wasn't blowing heat all over my back anymore.

This past weekend, I noticed the heat blowing from behind again, so I checked the air intake, but it didn't appear to be blocked. Any suggestions on what else might be blocked (causing the heat to blow into cab)?

hmm, so it didnt do it after you cleared the stuff out, but it did it again at a later date, and theres nothing blocking it?

that is very strange for sure.
ive never driven one, or been around one long enough to know enough about em to help you out, but there are a few folks here with rzr's that can hopefully help you out!

try checking the CVT exhaust. there is a seperate tube for that and animals like to climb in there and set up shop

My buddies (now totaled, sad face) XP 900 always blew heat into the cab down around the back of our legs. We liked it, made those cold Alaska rides much more pleasant.

Not sure on your model, but out old 700 was doing the same thing. The engine is right there and there was a gap in the plastic that would almost burn your legs. We took a screw and just screwed it in to pinch the seam together. No problems since. Might look at it. See if you can use your hand to really feel where the heat is coming in at.
