Default Good price on Can Am Outlander 800 Max XT?
I was told retail price is $12,599 and they'd sell to me for dealer cost of $11,299. Is this a good deal?

Also I'm planning to buy a Polaris Ranger 900 EPS LE at the sametime. Do dealers give better deals when buying multiple items? Or do they not vary much because of low margins? I figure they are getting incentives or manufacturer rebates.

As for the first question, seems like a decent discount to me.
But check other dealers as well.

As for the second question, depends on the dealer. Some will give you a better deal, wether it be free accessories, discounts, etc.

And some don't care and won't give you anything.

there is not a whole lot of markup on atv/ohv. they get you with the hidden fees. the destination/delivery, the setup charge, the pre delivery service fee. it all adds up to well over $1,000 over the price you see. not to mention tax.......

Yep, if you can get them to eat all the extra fees, that's where the deals are to be had.

Thanks for the insight. I'll try to press him on some of the hidden fees.

P.S. I've seen you on FRF. How many forums are you on? Any other good ones you'd recommend?

just to follow up, I went ahead and purchased both the CanAm Outlander Max XT 800 and the Polaris Ranger 900 XP. I was prepared to follow the advice of asking to reduce some of the hidden fees. However, I didn't even have to ask them to reduce some of the hidden fees. They didn't charge any of them. I paid the sales price only. No setup, no destination/delivery, no pre-delivery service fee, etc. It was an excellent experience at Ridersville Cycle in Berkley Springs, WV.

P.S. I effing love both of these new toys!

On a purchase that big? I'm not shocked they waived everything.
